What is micro-soldering and when do I need it?
Micro-soldering is board-level repair on tiny components — common for USB-C port failures, no-power issues, and charge IC problems. You need it when a simple part swap will not fix the device, such as a Switch that will not charge or an iPhone with a dead charging port after liquid damage.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most screen and battery repairs are completed same-day or within 1–2 business days once parts are in hand. Mail-in and board-level micro-soldering jobs usually take 3–7 business days depending on diagnostics and parts availability. We keep you updated by text or email.
Do you warranty repairs?
Yes. All eligible repairs include our Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects for as long as you own the device. Accidental damage, liquid, and third-party work are not covered. Details: /repair-promise and /lifetime-warranty.
Where is Instakyle located and what areas do you serve?
Instakyle Tech Solutions is a private repair studio in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis (2727 W 43rd St, Unit 213). Studio visits are by appointment only — there is no walk-in retail counter. We serve the Twin Cities metro with mobile and local pickup options, and we accept mail-in repairs from anywhere in the United States.
Do you repair Nintendo Switch charging port and no-power issues?
Yes. We repair Nintendo Switch USB-C charging ports, no-power diagnostics, Joy-Con drift, screen replacement, and battery service. Charging port repair typically starts around $89 depending on the Switch model.
Can I pay with Bitcoin for a repair?
Yes. Instakyle accepts Bitcoin for device repairs. Ask when booking or mention it when you contact us — we will provide payment instructions at checkout.
What is the difference between OEM Genuine Apple and Premium repair parts?
OEM Genuine Apple parts are the same components Apple uses in its own repairs. Soft OLED is a labeled value screen option — not Genuine — so brightness, True Tone, and longevity can differ; it costs less. Premium is the value battery/LCD lane at a lower price than Genuine. Warranty is the same on every eligible repair: limited lifetime against defects. Details: /repair-promise.
How do I book a repair appointment?
Book online through our Repairs page — select your device, repair type, and quality tier, then choose Mobile, Drop-off, or Mail-in. Mail-in uses the studio price plus return shipping and does not need a PocketSuite appointment. You can also text (952) 522-3029 or use the Contact page for diagnostic mail-in and custom quotes.
Do you require a deposit to book a repair?
Yes for mobile repairs and for high-cost or special-order parts. A $25 booking deposit locks your appointment and parts order and is applied to your repair total at checkout — it is not an added fee when the job is completed as booked. See our Terms of Service for details.
What is your cancellation and reschedule policy?
Cancel or reschedule 24 hours or more before your appointment and your deposit is refunded or credited to a future booking. Less than 24 hours’ notice or a no-show: the deposit is retained (we may apply it if you rebook within 30 days). Once a special-order part has been ordered after your deposit, that deposit is non-refundable but still applies if you proceed with the repair later. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
